The Values Behind The Work

Kate’s approach weaves together trauma-informed care, justice-oriented practice, spiritual formation, and embodied learning to support meaningful, integrated change.
People First
Every sustainable business is built on people — not systems, not bottom lines. When the humans inside your organization feel genuinely valued, supported, and seen, they show up with their whole selves and do their best work. Investing in your people isn't generosity. It's good leadership.
Profit With Purpose
Financial health isn't the enemy of values-driven work — it's what makes it possible. Profit is the fuel that keeps you in the work, compensates your team well, and allows you to serve your community for decades, not just years. You don't have to choose between doing good and doing well.
Generosity as a Business Value
We are blessed in order to bless others. Generosity isn't an afterthought — it shapes how we compensate our teams, how we price our services, how we show up for our communities, and how we build organizations that give more than they take. Abundance is not meant to be hoarded. It is meant to be circulated.
Vocation over Ambition
Real leadership grows from the intersection of the world's deep needs and your own deepest gifts. This work isn't about building a platform or scaling for its own sake. It's about showing up at the place where your calling and your community meet — and building something that matters because of it.
Justice, Equity, and Liberation
Values-driven leadership means recognizing that businesses don’t exist outside of larger systems—and making intentional choices not to recreate inequality, exclusion, or concentrated power within your organization. It’s about building environments where people are valued, included, and empowered, while understanding that healthy leadership is measured not just by outcomes, but by how people are treated along the way.
Stewardship over Accumulation
The goal was never to accumulate. It's to steward — your resources, your influence, your platform, and your people — with integrity and intention. What we build should outlast us and leave things better than we found them.
